Documents reveal Guy's dislike for Macdonald

It's emerged Scott Guy told his sister Ewen Macdonald was the worst thing to happen to the family.

In court documents from the Scott Guy murder trial, Nikki Guy said her brother drunkenly confided in her about what he thought of their brother-in-law.

He told her he disliked Ewen and thought the farm would be better off if he wasn't involved.

Nikki Guy wasn't able to relate this to the jury because defence lawyer Greg King objected to the reliability of the evidence.

Ewen Macdonald will be sentenced next month for six charges he's pleaded guilty to, including arson and vandalism.
