Teen in court after stabbing father

By: Jacob Brown | Latest Crime News | Wednesday May 16 2012 17:42

A 15-year-old boy's appeared in the Children's Court in Christchurch following a stabbing incident on Monday night.

Christchurch police were called to a Hornby address on Monday evening, where it's believed the teenager stabbed his father.

Detective Sergeant Earle Borrell says the man was transported to Christchurch Hospital and remains there.

He says the inquiry is ongoing.

"He's been remanded for a week, it's likely that there'll be further charges laid in respect of the incident."
