Jury find Shadrock guilty of murder

| Latest Crime News | Thursday July 19 2012 15:36

A jury at the High Court at Auckland has found Christopher Shadrock guilty of murdering a young mother in a botched south Auckland bag snatch robbery in 2008.

The 25 year old hit Joanne Wang in a stolen four wheel drive in the carpark of the Manukau Westfield shopping centre after snatching her handbag.

She died of head injuries in hospital the next day.

Shadrock's four co-accused have also found been guilty of being accessories after the fact for their part in covering up his tracks.

The jury returned its verdict this afternoon after retiring to deliberate on Tuesday afternoon.
