Reports 'Houdini' has struck again

By: Jacqui Stanford | Latest Crime News | Friday June 22 2012 19:03

Corrections is refusing to comment on whether one of the maximum security prisoners holed up in an unused observation tower at Paremoremo is serial-escapist Aaron Forden.

Following reports the man known as Houdini has struck again, Corrections says it has a policy not to comment on individual prisoners.

Forden earned the nickname after making it out of jail numerous times, including an infamous 2008 incident where he tied sheets together to escape Mt Eden Prison.

Corrections says the men are simply a nuisance and there is no danger of them escaping.
