Natural health and beauty products company Comvita has posted $8.2 million profit. The company says its sales has surpassed $100 million for the first time, reflecting the growing stature of the brand in international markets. The Manuka honey products company successfully defended an unsolicited takeover bid from Cerebos New Zealand. Chairman Neil Craig says globally the company's Medihoney sales have grown by 38 percent.
