One week from today, the road to the White House hits a major milestone with the start of the Republican national convention.
Republican nominee Donald Trump is test-driving candidates for his presidential running mate as the formal nomination process nears.
Trump has appeared most recently with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, but has also campaigned with House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich.
He's expected to appear with a third possibility, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, in Indiana tonight, with the Republican National Convention opening in Cleveland next Monday.
CNN reporter Emily Schmidt said that a source from the Clinton campaign said last month that Bernie Sanders will not be the vice president.
"Meaning both parties are sticking with political crystal balls intentionally left blurry for now."
