An American bar is refusing to get rid of a two-way mirror that peers into the women's bathroom.

The owner of Cigars and Stripes told the American media outlet Jezebel he would destroy his bar before they got rid of it.

"I will burn this f*cking place to the ground before I get rid of that mirror. Do you know how much joy that mirror has brought to us?"

The two-way mirror was unveiled by American comic Tamale Rocks, who made the discovery before her performance at the bar. 

She posted a video and pictures of what she found.

 

Staff have told the media the mirror was fitted as part of a Halloween prank.

Berwyn Police are now investigating the mirror. 

Chief James Ritz told the Chicago Tribune, the club owners had told police regular customers knew the mirror was two-way, but said he could see why the mirror would be a cause of concern.
