*SPOILER ALERT*

Last night's episode of Game of Thrones featured a big moment for a cherished character, and spoilers started flying thick and fast online.

KPMG Early Edition host Andrew Dickens decided to jump right in and ruin the surprise for listeners who hadn't yet seen the episode, sparking a debate about how long people should wait before revealing big show secrets.

Bernadine Oliver-Kerby, Andrew Mulligan and Mike Hosking all leapt into the fray on the Mike Hosking Breakfast, arguing over how long people should have to wait before revealing spoilers, and whether the concept of a spoiler alert can even exist in the instantaneous internet age.

And here's the spoiler that we warned you about at the top...

Andrew Mulligan revealed that Bruce Willis' character in The Sixth Sense was dead all along.
