Meghan and Harry's royal nuptials are expected to rank in the top ten most expensive weddings of all time.

There are concerns over the security bill alone, which is estimated at just under 60-million-New Zealand-dollars.

Blogger Megan Singleton told Kerre McIvor the wedding cost the taxpayer around triple the amount of William and Kate's wedding.

"Because of security costs, because of Prince Harry's military connections, because of 2,000 members of the public having to be screened before they could come into the castle grounds."
