It’s the talk of many a town this morning, the marriage of Prince Harry to American actress Meghan Markle.
She’s an unconventional royal bridge, Markle has been outspoken on many political issues, including on race, racism and women’s rights.
Now that the wedding’s over, what does the future hold for Meghan Markle and the royal family.
Global Opinions Editor for the Washington Post Karen Attiah told Kerre McIvor that people will be interested to see how outspoken she will be in her new position.
“She has spoken about these things. The question I think now is will she be able to be free to take on these same causes that she once did?
However, the influence and inclusion of black American culture in the ceremony has been notable.
“Even without having really said anything quite yet, she already has made a statement about diversity,” Attiah said.
