Joan Mackenzie joined Kerre McIvor this week to recommend a couple of new books for you to read.

The Wife, written by Alafair Burke, is a psychological thriller that will appeal to fans of Gone Girl and the Girl on the Train. Joan says it has a twist you won't see coming and lives up to the best in this popular genre of novels.

Brave, by Rose McGowan - one of the women who came out against Harvey Weinstein - is a revealing, no-holds-barred, memoir. McGowan grew up in the cult called the Children of God, and in her book she describes how there are parallels between that cult and life in Hollywood.
