NICI WICKES: Food

Chocolate and pudding  - two of my favourite words! This dessert combines a crispy pie crust filled with a smooth dark chocolate custard and topped with clouds of softly whipped cream.

The recipe and audio are on our page or for or more inspiration visit  http://www.niciwickes.com/  or her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/#!/niciwickes

NARCOS Season 3 - All 10 episodes of Narcos Season 3 will go on Netflix on September 1, 2017.

PAUL STENHOUSE: Technology

It's the app that's taking over the app store  - it's been #1 in 30 countries over the past month. An app you might want to ask your kids if they have!

It's called Sarahah - Arabic for honesty. It allows people to submit anonymous questions. It's available as both an app and a website.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sarahah.android&hl=en

https://itunes.apple.com/sa/app/sarahah/id1239779861?mt=8

This was apparently designed to be an app to allow people to critique managers, but it's spread far and wide. It's got an open text box which anyone can post a message to, without needing to add a name or email address.

What should you do?

Netsafe has some good advice for adding parental controls to devices and also about keeping an open conversation with your kids.

And a reminder, that while it's anonymous - nothing on the internet really is. Make sure your kids know that -- especially when it comes to sending pictures...

BOB CAMPBELL: Wine

Pinot Gris perfection - I’ve just tasted a good cross-section of Kiwi Pinot Gris. Seresin 2016 Pinot Gris from Marlborough was not the cheapest wine I tasted but it is one of the best and at a price of $24 represents very good value.

Bob's Best Buy: The cheapest price I could find was $21,99 at Vino Fino in Christchurch. They sell it for $24 at the winery in Marlborough. Advintage in Hawke’s Bay offer it for $24.99. If you buy wine online Blackmarket have it for $137.94 for a case of six bottles which works out to $22.99 per bottle.

RUUD KLEINPASTE: Gardening

The Hunt is on for New Zealand's Young Gardener of the Year

Following reports that over a third of Kiwi kids are overweight or obese*, Garden to Table and T&G are proud to be changing the way New Zealand children think about food with the launch of the inaugural T&G Garden to Table Young Gardener of the Year Awards.

The awards aim to seek out five green-thumbed budding young gardeners who are enthusiastic, have passion and drive to grow fresh produce to create delicious dishes! Schools can also get involved – with a T&G Garden to Table School of the Year Award.

Entries for the T&G Garden to Table Young Gardener Awards open on Tuesday 22 August and close Friday 29 September at 5pm. To enter, schools must already participate in the Garden to Table programme - visit www.younggardenerawards.co.nz to find and more and to apply.

MIKE YARDLEY: Travel

Out West in Buller - For more tops on experiencing Johnny's Journey with Out West, Mike's article will be on or website next week. www.newstalkzb.co.nz/lifestyle

CATHERINE RAYNES: Books

House of Spies by Daniel Silva, HarperCollins $30

The Final Hour by Tom Wood, Hachette $35

ANDREW DICKENS: Music

Kesha 'Rainbow' - Andrew's verdict: 7 out of 10.

The autotune has gone revealing a strong voice with a vast range.  The wanton tales of drunkeness are gone.  And she sings country music!  The album is a bit patchy.  The raver's jar a little with the more classic country styled balladry.  But proof that the real Kendra is coming out from the oppressive shadow of her former producer.
