The Greens' welfare policy is being slammed as removing obligations of those on welfare to get off it.
Acting Prime Minister Paula Bennett is the architect of the present benefit system, something she told Larry Williams she worked hard on.

She said it's led to the lowest number of sole parents on benefit since 1988.
"People work really hard to pay their taxes. Those taxes go towards people on benefit, and as a consequence there should be an obligation that you're working hard to get off benefit, and they've just wiped all that off in this policy."
