Negotiations at the Beehive are predicted to hang on immigration.
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters is meeting with National and Labour leaders today, ahead of the special vote count on Saturday.
Former New Zealand First Immigration Minister Tuariki Delamere says National's immigration policy is vastly different to that of Mr Peters.
Delamere has doubts about how committed Labour are to their immigration targets.
"They play up during the election because it plays well during the election.
"'Migration is the cause for every problem in this country' but at the end of the day migration is for farms, orchards, construction."
