Prizes are being handed out to students and young professionals in the capital in return for dead pests.
Tait Burge, Claudie Ramsden Bradley and Hugo Reeve have launched Traplordz, an initiative designed to tackle pest-infested flats.
Burge says they give households a free trap and then reward them for the number of rats and mice they kill.
He says flats with the most kills might get a grand prize while others might get free coffee vouchers.
The men say the idea was inspired by their experiences living in old flats where they had lots of rats but no means of doing anything about them.
