A duel over fuel.

National's calling on the Government to reconsider its Auckland regional fuel tax, with petrol costs around the country hitting record highs.

Some say costs in Auckland could climb to as much three dollars a litre.

Rodney MP Mark Mitchell told Larry Williams there's more pain on the horizon.

"One thing that we do control and the government could look carefully at is whether or not the government should apply a regional fuel tax right now is the right thing to do."
