Every Wednesday, National MP Mark Mitchell and Labour Minister Stuart Nash join the Mike Hosking Breakfast to discuss all the best bits from politics.
This week, they discussed the nurses' strike planned for Thursday, which will see 30,000 nursing staff walk off the job and a number of operations cancelled.
Nash says he recognises nurse are unpaid and have been for the 'last nine years' but he says they can't fix everything at once.
However, Mitchell says nurses had regular pay rising under the National government.
