A political scientist is describing Winston Peters' latest performance as undignified.
The New Zealand First leader blasted journalists at a media conference yesterday, describing some of what they'd written as speculative drivel.
Massey University political science professor Dr Grant Duncan told Mike Hosking what Winston Peters did was extraordinary.
"I couldn't believe the way in which he was just insulting people in the room, let alone the media as a whole. I don't think we have any other political leader in this country who would behave that way."
He said the New Zealand First leader's performance was undignified and extraordinary.
But Duncan said reporters would be advised to stick to the facts.
"The trouble is of course the Party's going to go into private negotiations for the next few days so there won't be many public statements coming out. So people will be interviewing their keyboards."
