The South Waikato region is ready for business, and the local council is investing in new technology and innovation to lure Auckland residents

Paul Bowden, economic development minister at the South Waikato District Council, says the area is perfect to support the government's modular housing plan for Kiwibuild.

"The council has available land in the district, and we can help to make sure the consent process flows smoothly, the Fonterra plant is perfect example of that happening."
