The best of New Zealand food and wine will be dished up to Barack Obama tonight.
More than 800 leaders from around New Zealand will join the former US President at an exclusive event at the Viaduct Events Centre.
Chef Peter Gordon has created the menu, which is understood to be steak and fish.
A panel of wine experts has selected a variety of top New Zealand wines to showcase where Obama will get a sip of Hawkes Bay at his private function tonight in Auckland.
Te Mata chief executive Nick Buck told Mike Hosking their Bullnose Syrah is one of those.
"Absolutely delicious Syrah from here in Hawkes Bay. I also understand quite a few of the other wines are from the same area. I think Hawkes Bay has got 5 wines in total."
