Drug Free Sport say a teenager who took a banned substance was naive.
A 16-year-old has been suspended for four-months from his sport, after testing positive for taking a banned substance.
Drug Free Sport chief executive Nick Paterson says he is a young and fairly naive individual, but competing at an elite national championship level brings consequences.
"He's been given a drink by a fellow player and this drink unfortunately has contained a banned substance. The onus is on the athlete every time, if you are an athlete you are responsible for what goes into your body."
