Some Commonwealth Games athletes preferred to drink at a bar outside the stadium, than stay until the end of last night's closing ceremony.
The ceremony has been slammed by broadcasters and spectators as boring - and because the televised version showed no vision of the athletes entering the stadium.
It meant viewers didn't get to see the inspirational Australian flag bearer, para-sports champion Kurt Fearnley.
Natalie Peters of WSFm says the ceremony seemed to be about showcasing Australian musicians, rather than athletes.
"Then people just started filing out and at that point there were so few athletes on the stadium floor that it looked empty and many spectator leaving as well and a lot of the athletes were at the bar just outside."
