Outspoken Australian Senator Pauline Hanson is likely to benefit from her latest political stunt.

The One Nation party leader has worn a burqa into the Senate, in a bid to have the clothing banned for security reasons.

The stunt was quickly condemned by other politicians.

"There is support out there. It will go through the roof, she's got no support out in Queensland but she's the headline."
