Confidence from the Prime Minister that the End of Life Choice Bill will pass.
The legislation, which passed its first reading this week, would allow people with terminal illnesses or incurable medical conditions to end their owns lives through euthanasia.
Jacinda Ardern told Mike Hosking there are strong views on both sides of the debate.
"Some will be based on their personal beliefs and religion and I utterly respect that, who will not want to see this progress but there will be others who want the choice."
She said the Bill is all about providing people with options.
"My inclination is to lean towards giving people that choice that allows people's religious conviction to never engage with the law."
