The medicinal marijuana debate has been raging for a long time, and now the government is looking to allow people with chronic conditions to access it.

Cameron Bennett is a journalist, and creator of a medical cannabis documentary which is out this weekend, he says he decided to produce the film as there is a huge amount of interest in the topic.

"A health department survey has shown that around a quarter of a million kiwis already treat themselves with medicinal cannabis, so the law is going to have to change."
