Bill English doesn't yet have a finalised agreement with New Zealand First, to present to his party.
New Zealand First's board and caucus meet at Parliament today to consider whether to join a National or Labour government.
The National party leader said after eight or nine meetings, they've agreed on a number of policies, but there are still some issues to negotiate.
Mr English told Mike Hosking he would hope a decision would happen over the next few days.
"All I can say is if they do it won't be focused on finalised agreements. But the issues that are yet to be discussed could be resolved reasonable quickly."
