The new Reserve Bank governor has been turning over every stone, as he gets to grips with the role.

Adrian Orr has been in the job for three weeks.

He says it's been very detail heavy so far, but that's what he expected.

And he says the whole team is covering a wide range of challenges.

"From currency issues, technology changes, banking regulation, and then of course price stability and our concern for maximising sustainable employment."
