A New Zealand police officer involved in the "running man" video is delighted the New York Police Department has also hit the dance floor.

The latest recruitment video put out by our police called "the running man challenge" has gone global.

It shows eight cops doing the 80s dance move made famous by Janet Jackson.

Sergeant Sonny Iosefo told Mike Hosking his NYPD colleagues look fantastic.

He loves the concept of getting youth involved and said it has created good relationships with their own community and within the police force as well.
