A former Olympian says the ball has been fired over the net and is in the International Olympic Committee's court when it comes to Russian doping.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected an appeal by 68 Russian track and field athletes to overturn their ban for the games.
Athletics commentator Martin Gillingham said report after report has shown doping in Russian sport doesn't just stop at track and field, that's where it starts.
He told Larry Williams the IOC is meeting on Monday, when it will decide whether to introduce a blanket ban on Russia at the Olympics or whether they'll turn to the governing bodies.
Gillingham said they may leave it up to individual sports federations to decide whether to ban Russia from these Olympics or not.
He said whatever call the IOC makes, they've got to get it right.
Gillingham said we must decide if we want what's perceived to be a clean Olympics.
"You'd be naive if you think that drugs are going to be cleared out of an Olympic sport by keeping Russia out of it but it certainly sends a message."
