The Remuneration Authority has handed out their latest pay increases to MPs. The PM is getting a pay increase of around $6500, boosting his salary to $435,000. Cabinet ministers will receive an extra $4000 making their wage $272,000, with ordinary MPs now earning around $150,000. This comes after National changed legislation following the original, more extravagant five percent increase. But how does this compare to the private sector?
