This week’s ASB Good as Gold winner is Ben Munro. Ben’s Mum writes: “A week before Christmas, Ben and his partner Becca were newly engaged, he was completing his Masters, and they were expecting their second child. Then Ben’s nagging cough was diagnosed as lymphoma. Ben endured 6 months of chemo, with Becca looked after two small children and a very sick partner.

The family has carried on with dignity and courage. Ben managed to complete his masters with an A pass, the chemo is finally over, and he has been given the all clear!

They have now decided to get married this Christmas. They don’t have a lot of money, and I would love for them to be able to have just a couple of days honeymoon somewhere nice. It would be just awesome if ASB could help them a bit with this.”
