Grant Robertson has delivered his first budget, but is already facing a spot of backlash.
Business reaction to the budget is that there nothing there about growth in productivity.
Robertson disagrees, and told Larry Williams about $42 billion is spent on infrastructure, which sees Aucklanders stuck in traffic and costs $1.3 billion in lost productivity.
"We are going to start to address that. R& D spend is one of the crucial elements of improving productivity, we've got that covered, and the thing that businesses say to me the most is lets get the people with the skills and the training, will there's big investments there as well."
