New research is proving companies which focus on sustainability, are likely to grow more.

A report by NZI Insurance finds that businesses which consider environmental, social and economic factors are twice as likely to grow compared to those who don't.

Marlborough's Yealand Wine Group is one business that's been praised for its sustainable business model.

Founder and director, Peter Yealand told Kate Hawkesby they burn their own vine prunings to create hot water, use solar heating - and use sheep to their advantage.

"Bringing in a flock of babydoll sheep, to graze in amongst the vineyard, to keep the grass and the weeds down without eating the grapes."
