The Pyeongchang Winter Olympics are done and dusted, and the New Zealand team has done us proud.
We're heading home with two bronze medals and a bunch of fourth place finishes.
Pete Wardell, Chef de Mission of the Games, told Kate Hawkesy that it exceeded expectations.
"The expectations were a medal plus, and we comfortably got two medals, three fourths, a fifth and a bunch of top placings."Â
He says he is proud of what the team achieved and hopes it means more funding in the future.Â
He says that it is a great shame that the event was marred by Russian doping.
"We'll just have to watch and see if they can get themselves back on track, but it's hugely disappointing to see them still mired in straight cheating."Â
