Nearly 25,000 people have passed through the gates of Fieldays so far after just one day.
There are predictions of a record spend this year.
ASB rural economist Nathan Penny told Mike Hosking the vibe is pretty positive so far.
He says there's caution in the dairy and beef sectors because of Mycoplasma bovis.
"Whereas when you're in some other sectors like the sheep sector or horticulture yeah things are cracking along, so it does vary on the sector."
Nathan Penny says those in horticulture and forestry in particular are looking to spend at this year's Fieldays.
