The Prime Minister is set to reveal the scope of the Government inquiry into mental health today.
Psychotherapist Kyle McDonald said low accessibility is the biggest problem turned up by a people's mental health review from last year.
But he told Kate Hawkesby the inquiry should also have a broad enough scope to look at even bigger issues.
"There is the wider quest of trying to understand how come New Zealand has such a terrible problem with suicide and a sort of rising rate of depression and anxiety. that's going to be a really tricky thing for them to tackle."
