New Zealand will be reminding Britain of our long relationship ahead of Brexit.
Britain will be exiting the European Union in March next year.
High Commissioner to the UK Sir Jerry Mateparae told Kate Hawkesby we need to remind the Brits the relationship doesn't start when they exit the European Union.
"There's a long history, a long association, there's been lots of things that we've done together. I think the other thing is there are opportunities with Brexit."
Sir Jerry says New Zealand wants to take advantage of that.
In lighter news, he says people are going nuts ahead of the Royal wedding.
Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle will be tying the knot this Saturday.
Sir Jerry says everyone wants to see the Royal couple.
"And everyone wants to be invited. People have been asking 'are you been invited, do you know who's been invited?' No, not invited, but I do know some people who have been invited."
Sir Jerry says he can't name names, but did say he's met the royals before and says they're lovely and easy to mix and mingle with.
