The United States' First Daughter took the stage alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and IMF head Christine Lagarde.

She spoke of how Donald Trump was a champion of women, and put up no barriers to what she could achieve.

Meanwhile, back at the White House, the whole senate is converging for a briefing on North Korea.

It comes after several Korean missile tests and threats to attack the US.

But it's unusual for all one-hundred senators to be in the White House.

Rebecca Wright told Nadine Higgins they might be trying to reach a consensus on North Korea, or it could be a self-focused move.

She said Donald Trump's nearing the end of his symbolic first 100 days as president and an important meeting would be a good photo opportunity.
