There needs to be a focus on rape culture at large and not just a small group of students.

That's from a group called in to help at Wellington College after offensive comments on Facebook.

Posts on a closed page said you're not a real Wellington College boy if you don't take advantage of drunk girls.

Now there are more posts, urging boys to run over protesters planning to rally outside the school against rape culture.

Sexual Abuse Prevention Network general manager Fiona McNamara told Rachel Smalley rape culture is a real issue.

"We hear appalling comments being made. We also see this kind of thing a lot in film and TV, music videos. There are all sorts of messages out there."

Ms McNamara said the organisation's going to be working with the school to educate every year group.

She told Rachel Smalley the college is recognising there's an issue and it wants to focus on changing what let those comments happen.

"So we're going to be working with the school to bring in education for every year group in the school and make sure that all the students really understand why these kind of comments are not okay and the harm that they can do."
