The cost-benefit of a proposed milk bank for Auckland is expected to be huge.

Auckland District Health Board is looking at surveying parents to see if there's demand for it.

Mothers Milk founder Emma Ryburn-Phengsavath says she can't believe the DHB's bothering to do the survey.

She did a paper on milk banks in 2009.
