There's been disorder in south Auckland, but league crowds in Hamilton were once again well-behaved.

Police say hard core group of people threw missiles at police and let off fireworks at a police station in Otahuhu after Saturday night's game.

But the crowds watching the historic Tongan victory over the Kiwis at Waikato Stadium were jubilant and well-behaved.

Former Kiwis and Tonga captain Duane Mann said the flag-waving families helped spur the Tongans to victory.

"The crowd, the Tongan supporters that have come out and really set the tournament alight. The game itself was just amazing for Tonga."
