In 1938, British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain flew to the German city of Munich in an attempt to stop war breaking out. The resulting peace deal over Czechoslovakia was hailed as a triumph of appeasement, but less than a year later, the Second World War began. 

British novelist Robert Harris has written a new book about the Munich deal, and he joined Andrew Dickens to discuss it, and its connections with the modern world.
