One of New Zealand's greatest film-makers, Hugh MacDonald, joined Andrew Dickens this morning.

You might not instantly know his name, but his biggest film was seen by 2 million people overseas, and he's been nominated for an Academy Award.

MacDonald's latest film is set to officially hit cinemas in New Zealand this weekend after premiering at the International Film Festival earlier this year.

It's called No Ordinary Sheila, following the life and work of writer, freelance illustrator and adventurer - and Hugh's relative - Sheila Natusch.
