Coffin leaves netball for TV promotion

03/10/2008 11:48:06

Jenny May Coffin's netball career will end tomorrow.

Despite being named in the Southern Steel's preliminary squad for the ANZ Championship, a new television role means Coffin withdrawn. She has been appointed the One News weekend sport anchor position following the promotion of Andrew Saville, who takes over from Tony Veitch as the weekday sport anchor.

The former Silver Fern is in the Auckland-Waitakere side who will play Otago in the National Championship in Rotorua this afternoon.

North face Southland in the second semi-final.
