First witnesses give evidence in Konia trial

11/05/2006 15:04:03

The first witness who knew both the victims and the accused in the Feilding double homicide is giving evidence at David Konia's murder trial.

Konia is accused of killing Ted Fergusson and Margaret Walden in May last year.

Margaret Walden's friend Lorraine Ericsson spoke of the conversation where Mrs Walden told her she was becoming annoyed, but not scared of Konia always hanging around.

Mrs Ericsson also told the court she thought Konia, whom she had known only for a couple of months was polite and gentle.

Meanwhile. Ted's daughter Marie choked back emotion as she gave evidence this morning.

She suggested her father was house-proud and would have never left his home as messy as it was when his body was found.
