Hunter beats Pownceby 33-19

20/03/2006 6:08:02

It has been another fleeting visit to international competition for controversial boxer Soulan Pownceby.

He has been bundled out in the quarter finals 33-19 by Canadian Glenn Hunter.

Pownceby left the arena immediately after the fight, leaving Games boxing coach Henry Schuster to face the media.

Schuster says they are not blaming the extra attention.

He says the security and the media in the village allowed them space.

Schuster says any decisions on Pownceby's career will come from the man himself but he would be disappointed if he gave up.
