Telecom has announced the sale of part of its Australian business. It has sold the consumer division of AAPT to iiNet Limited for $75 million. The telco has also announced the sale of its stake in iiNet to institutional investors for $87 million. Telecom chief executive Paul Reynolds says the sale will strengthen the company's financial position and help reposition AAPT's operations for future growth.
