New NZ Ambassador to Indonesia named

Career diplomat David Taylor will be heading to Jakarta as New Zealand's next Ambassador to Indonesia.

Foreign Minister Murray McCully says Mr Taylor will also serve as our Ambassador to the Association of South East Asian Nations, which plays a crucial role in political, economic and security developments in the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr Taylor will take up his assignment in April, replacing Phillip Gibson.
