First round exit for Sacha Jones in Thailand

A first round loss for New Zealand number one Sacha Jones at the WTA Tour's Pattaya Open in Thailand.

The 19 year old Aucklander won through three rounds of qualifying to make the main draw, but has been beaten 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 by Italian world number 72 Alberta Brianti.

Marina Erakovic plays Austria's Sybille Bammer in the first round today.
