Hangi and live music planned for Prince William

14/01/2010 6:32:01

Prince William can look forward to casual first night in the country, with a hangi and live music planned.

The second in line to the British throne arrives in Auckland on Sunday morning. Following a tour of Eden Park and then a sail around the harbour he will head to Government House for tea.

Spokesman Antony Paltridge says it will be relaxing evening with a real Pacific flavour with Dave Dobbyn and Che-Fu playing during the evening. He says the actual laying down of the hangi has been contracted out to Auckland Maori who specialise in the meal.

Prince William is officially here to represent the Queen at the official opening of the Supreme Court on Monday. He heads home the following day.
